Their state-of-the-art simulation software lets us analyse and optimise our vehicle designs, enhancing track performance, safety, and reliability. Ansys software is used in nearly all sub-teams, ranging from cooling simulations and finite element analysis to aerodynamic optimisation.

Simulation Software
Providing access to advanced aerodynamics, structural analysis, and thermal management simulation tools. The vehicle dynamics team uses Ansys Mechanical to design and validate all suspension and kinematics components. This ensures the car's safe operation under dynamic loading during race conditions. Ansys Fluids and Thermals are used to simulate the cooling performance of high-voltage components.

The Ansys Innovation Space provides free courses on a variety of topic relevant to building an FSAE car ranging from Chassis Analysis, Topology Optimisation and External Aerodynamics Analysis across a broad spectrum of Ansys software products.
