Roles and Responsibilities

Sponsorship Acquisition

To build a car every year, significant financial and in-kind support is required. Sponsorships officers proactively seek out potential sponsors by identifying companies or organisations that align with the team’s goals and values. This includes reaching out, pitching partnership opportunities, and negotiating sponsorship deals.

Relationship Management

With over 35 current team sponsors, we must maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors by providing regular updates, organising sponsor events, and ensuring they are engaged with the team’s progress and success.

Contract Management

Contract management is important because it ensures that all terms of sponsorship agreements are clearly defined, fulfilled, and monitored, safeguarding both the team’s interests and the sponsors’ expectations.

Sponsorship Activation

Sponsorship activation involves ensuring sponsor logos and branding are prominently displayed on the vehicle, merchandise, and promotional materials. This requires close coordination with the marketing and design teams to align branding efforts and maximise sponsor visibility.

Collaboration with Other Teams

Sponsorship officers must work closely with the entire team, from engineering to marketing to ensure sponsorship strategies align with the team's broader objectives, ensuring technical needs are met and the car is built.
