MUR Handbook
An in-depth guide into the operations and sub-teams of MUR Motorsports
Designing and building a Formula Student race car is a complex engineering challenge. With over a dozen sub-teams and members across many disciplines such as engineering, design and business, it is difficult for newcomers to understand how all the moving pieces come together, working towards a shared goal.
Here at MUR, we noticed that many potential recruits showed interest in being part of the team, but quite often were not aware of the many teams that exist within the team and what each team worked on. As such, we have worked to create the MUR Handbook for everyone to enjoy.
In 2026 MUR is comprised of 3 Departments: The Mechanical, the Electrical and the Operational. You will be able to learn about all of these departments and the sub-teams that sit within them below. You can then learn more about what each team does to see if that best suits you.
